Our group is focused on Education for all in Sichuan. After the earthquake on 2008 May 12, 7000 schools
in Sichuan were collapsed or destroyed completely, many children lost, orphaned, poor, but that doesn't mean these children don't deserve a chance, and so
that's what we're giving them.
Which organization did you choose to focus on and why?
Our organization that we picked is called Mercy Corp, we chose them because there focus and aim was almost the same as ours. What Mercy Corp does is help children and our aim is the same, how they do it is that they help children forget about all the negative things they've
experienced, they keep them happy.
What exactly are they doing to try and combat or change your issue?
Our organization that we picked is Mercy Corp, what
Mercy Corp is doing about this education for all topic
is that they are helping children in Sichuan forget about the negative things that have ever happened to them, to give them a positive impact, and make them happy.
What are some of the things you like about their program?
Mercy Corps program is really good because to us
it really shows that Mercy Corp cares about the
children, it shows that they are a kind and generous
group of people. What Mercy Corp is really good at
is caring and that is what we want to give the
children as well, we want to show them we care.
How do you plan to become involved with this organization or model your action plan after it?
We plan to donate to this organization, we want to
spread awareness of this situation to the world
inform people about it, we want to try to make
people donate to our organization (S.S.S) then we
raise as money as we can and we donate the money
to Mercy Corp, also through this process as the people
learn about this situation they probably can join the
group, and slowly more and more people will know,
and more and more people will be willing to help.
